Since then, Brendan has spent time volunteering for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's 2018 Congressional campaign, and the 2020 Ossoff and Warnock runoff Senate campaigns in Georgia.

Brendan began getting move involved with activism in NYC after the 2016 election. In 2017, Brendan helped his friend, Adam Eli Werner, found Voices4, a non-violent, direct action, queer activist group that seeks to bring attention to global LGBTQIA+ issues. He has also been involved in Out in Tech and Gays Against Guns in New York since the same time.

Brendan returned to upstate New York in 2018 to pursue an MBA and Masters of Labor Relations at Cornell University and moved back to New York after graduating in 2021.
